I am Hired! I start work on Monday! So fast! I just had my first interview last week and submitted my requirements yesterday! It's for the best, I guess. I'm scared and excited at the same time! For now, I don't know what I'm going to do or where to go first when I get to the office on Monday. I don''t even know what to wear! *Haha* It feels like the first day of school in a new school. *rambles about worries*

Tips anyone? For some early 20 something year old who's joining a new company? Any advice that'll give me a boost of confidence? *LOL*

Since I'm going to start work, I'll probably barely have time to write reviews for products that I bought from my most recent haul but I'll still try to get them up some time or at some point.

Etude House: Foundation Brush

Hello Everyone!

This is probably my most used brush out of all the brushes I currently have (is it obvious? from the looks of it? *LOL*). I bought this when I went to Korea because it's usually out of stock whenever I go to an Etude House branch in Manila *bad timing always!*. I use this mainly for applying BB Cream since I don't really use foundation.

I like how its bristles feel against my skin. It's not hard on the skin but soft and flexible. It is tightly binded together so it's not flimsy when blending. It's really light and easy to hold and even comes with a brush guard! This brush, to me, makes application easier and does its job well. :)

Meet my new friend: Christian Siriano for Payless

I got these Christian Siriano for Payless pumps a couple of weeks ago thanks to my Mother. <3 These are probably the tallest heels I currently have! It's around 5" or so, I think. (and I plan to get more of these (heels) when I start earning *lol*). My Mom bought me these because I needed to "Power Dress" when going to job interviews and exams, so this is an "investment" as she (My Mom) puts it. Power Dressing is actually another "must" for job interviews. One must appear not only pretty or handsome but neat and professional too when going to interviews!

*I'd love to post outfit photos here someday. I still have to save up for a tripod. I hope I can do this soon! I'm working on it! (though not really a priority since I'll starting my "Professional Career" soon!)

Happy November Everyone!!!
At the start of each month, I try to atleast tidy up my place even if it's just a small part of it. For this month, I've finally found a way to tidy up my hair accessories and I'm kinda proud of it! haha!

The finish "set up"

This is where I keep my headbands, hair ties, hair clips, hair pins, etc. The 2 boxes are originally "photo boxes" and the Hello Kitty one on top is a desk/office supplies box thing. I've had these things for a long time already but I've been using them for somethings else. Now, I've turned them into my hair accessories organizer. I find that this way, it's more accessible and more convenient.

Let's take a peek on what's inside, shall we? ;)

As you can see, this box is a 2 tier type. I stored my hair ties (which I lose/break 1 or 2 in some days) on the bottom tier and I store bobby pins, small clips and other small stuff.

I store my headbands and bigger clips in these boxes. I'm a headband girl, you see so I have quite a number of it since I started getting into them a couple of years ago.

If you're finding a way to organize your hair accessories too, I really recommend this type of "set up". :)

Hello Everyone! The reason why I have been blogging less lately as compared to when I started last year, I was updating this blog every single day, is that I have been going to job interviews. I have been working on getting a new job for a while now, one that would allow me to save up money, enjoy, is near home and can live with doing everyday for a long time. Anyway, since I have been going to so many interviews, I thought I'd share my "must haves" when going to one.

* Your Update Resume -- Obviously! Very Important!

*An extra Resume -- Some companies ask for 2 copies of resumes or they ask you to fill up their own application

*Valid ID -- Incase you need to log in and leave your ID at the reception area.

*ID Pics -- 1x1s & 2x2s. Most companies ask fo ID pictures along with your resume & other documents

*Transcript of Records

*Pen & Notepad

*Book/iTouch/Anything that will keep you pre-occupied while waiting for your turn to be interviewed -- I don't recommend using iPods or Mp3 players while waiting since you might not hear your name being called.

*Government Issued IDs/Numbers -- Here in the Philippines, SSS, TIN, Pag-Ibig, Passport, Licences are asked by companies. Although, not all companies require you to already have these numbers/IDs especially when it's your first job. It really depends on the company, really. Some don't ask for your passport and licences number.

*Photocopy of IDs and Records -- Government Issued IDs/Numbers, Valid ID, College Diploma, Certificates, Transcript of Records

*Make Up & Hair Tie -- For touch ups and if your hair is long enough, some companies ask you to tie your hair up (If it's not)

*Samples/Compilation of your work -- If your work is writing or art related

Remember to dress appropriately! No flashy make-up! As much as possible, keep your documents neat and not crumpled. :)

Hello Everyone! How are you?

A couple of weeks ago, I joined this social networking type of site called "Get Glue". It's a site that enables you to discover new things (TV Shows, Movies, Books, Games, Music, Etc.). It's a lot like Foursquare, you also check in but not your current location but what you are currently doing. You also earn badges that (the site says) that gives you discounts. This, for example: I checked in: "Watching: The current episode of Big Bang Theory" --- Then, I get a sticker. *I don't really know what these discounts are, honestly. someone enlighten me with this?* This site also helps you discover new things since people check in their current activities (so it becomes a trending thing) and (a lot) give their own insights or current state and you also get to reply to them and them back even though you're not in each other's contacts. Like many social networking sites, you can also sync your check ins in Get Glue over to your FaceBook and/or Twitter accounts so your friends can also see what you're doing.

Initially, I "discovered" this site through it's iTouch app which I got at the iTunes store. The app is for free! I got curious on what it is so I tried it out and found it amusing. I don't have a lot of friends using this but perhaps you might have one or interested in getting an account? add me up! ;) It's fun!

When my friend and I explored Myungdong, we were overwhelmed by all the pretty stores. It's easy to get lost and remember where you cam from and if you've already been to that store. There are of course, lots and lots of cosmetic stores present in Myungdong. It was really.. overwhelming. haha!

I've been on this "program" ever since I got back from Korea a couple of weeks ago. I gotta say, I do feel and notice some improvements on my skin. Though I don't get pimples a lot, I do have dry skin and often rough parts around my jawline and other blemishes sometimes. I think it's a great addition to my skin care routine!

As for the amount of usage as stated in the directions of use that Holika Holika offered, I'm only in my first bottle of ampoule because I find that the normal amount I usually use is enough for my face and neck. I've only consumed half of the small bottle and I've been using this for a couple of weeks/2 times a day now

Also, I simply adore the packaging. It's so cute and shiny! ;P

If you want to try "Snail Cream" I just discovered (via their websites) that Tony Moly & Etude House has their own Snail Cream. The price is expensive though (around 1k+php, I think. I bought this Holika Holika one for 1K+php as well (converted from won) but was discounted already) but it's definitely worth it! (I believe so) I wish other Korean brands are also available here!

When I went to Korea, I tried to control myself and do as little shopping as possible because I had a budget target for the whole trip in mind (so I can go to other trips in the future). Most of the things I bought were bargained or on sale. *happy!* Here are some of the things I bought:

Cosmetics. Korea is the land of Cosmetics. I barely saw Korean women with bad skin there! *envy!* Cosmetics there are really cheap! They even sell in bulk especially their face mask/sheets and they're very generous with freebies too! (They give you a freebee for just entering their store and gives you more freebies when you buy from them) I wish they did the same here in the Philippines!

Etude House face sheets.

I bought a lot of this and I wish I bought more! They sell these for 10,000 won/ 2 packs. It's like 20php per sheet while they sell these here for 50-90+php each.

South Korea - Naminara Island

To get to the island, you'll have to go there by ferry. The travel to the island is less than 15mins, I think.

South Korea - DeMilitarized Zone (DMZ) - Dorsan Station

The station where people can travel through North and South Korea (including China, Russia and all the way to Europe) [somewhat] freely.

Having studied the relations between North and South Korea in a subject in college, I didn't really care about all these before but after having visit and hear from actual people from there, I have now appreciated [and understood] the importance of these things.. Very interesting!

After Dorsan Station, we went to the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel and to a building where you can see the view of North Korea. Pictures weren't allowed to be taken in some points in these places so I didn't bother to bring out my camera.

Steam Locomotive at Jangdan Station of the Gyeongui Line

"The Steam Locomotive is a symbol of the tragic history of the division into North and South Korea, having been left DMZ since it got derailed by bombs during the Korean War. After having been recognized its historical value and having become Registered Cultural Heritage in 2004, it is exhibited at the present location.

According to the train operator at that time, the train was backed due to the intervention of the Chinese Communist Forces on the way to Pyeongyang to deliver war materials and it was finally destroyed at Jangdan Station. More that 1,020 bullet holes of the locomotive and its bent wheels show the cruel situation at the time." - sign

This is honestly the most depressing part of the whole trip but still very much worth going to. Imagine, you in a place where such great tragedy happened and there are memorabilia's and even sounds in loud speakers playing while you walk and examine artifacts. But, again, still very much worth visiting.

*I've only noticed. There's these doll like thing on the side of the picture. I really don't know where that came from since we were in an "enclosed" zoo area. Strange. I don't believe it's a reflection of some sort because I would have seen it and it's very out of place.. anywhere.

It's very much like Zoobic only bigger [and better] where you get toured inside a bus. They have more of the lion family here than any other animals. I wish they also focus more on other animals.. but still very worth it! :) The animals are so cute! <3

Seoul, Korea - Everland

Everland is a HUGE amusement park in Korea. It's like Disneyland/ Universal Studios but [some of ] the rides and attractions are more "creative" compared to the 2. (IMHO).

I want to go to Cabi (Caribbean) bay too! (It's like a huge [and better] Splash Island)

Scary Ride! I wanted to go on with friends who rode but I didn't dare to. Next time! Maybe.

Reminds me of Orange Caramel's Magic Girl and Ai~ng days. I wanted to buy some of the headbands and clips with ears and ribbons but I had to stop myself from doing so. Next time! :)

Saw Pororo and Friends Live and in 3D! (some parts are in 3D). I love Pororo!! <3

Seoul, Korea - N Seoul Tower

N Seoul Tower is on top of a hill. We went there via bus but still had to "trek" a somewhat steep road that leads to N Seoul Tower. When you get to the end of that somewhat steep road, you'll find a couple of shops and a balcony where couple place their locks (yes, literally locks) as a sign of their love *as seen in the picture above*. When you get to the top part of the tower, you'll get to see a 180 degree view of Seoul. Seriously Amazing!

To get to places we want to go to, we made use of The Public Transportation. It's easy to get lost and confused when using their Subway. There's so many lines and stations! Even with a map we got lost.. (On each station, there are electronic maps that help you find your way. It also tells you how much travel time it's going to take you to get to your destination) Although, having no subway stations here in the Philippines, I still enjoyed and got fascinated by it. To make use of the subway (and the bus) , you will need a "T Card" (It's like the Octopus card in Hong Kong) which you can also use in Fast Food Restaurants, 7 Eleven and Mini Stop, Etc.

So Nyuh Shi Dae!! Got so kilig when I saw this! LOL.

Seoul, Korea - Insadong Street Shots

One of my fave stores in Insadong! 1000 won (around 40php) for a pair of earrings and other charms

Our hotel is located in walking distance from Insadong. Insadong is a long street where you can buy lots of things! Korean mainstream cosmetics (like Etude House, The Face Shop, etc.) are very present here! It's even better during night because there are street stores that are only present then.

You can haggle with some of the store owners/sellers here. There was this store owner/seller who gave us a BIG discount and even gave me a set of Korean chopsticks almost for free! (He was supposed to give me 3K won change but gave me back my 10k won) *bought a set Gom (bear) cellphone thing --- which he also discounted plus 2 of my friends also bought stuff.. Of course relating to the owners' language really helps! (Chinese is widely spoken too)

Seoul, Korea - Incheon International Airport

This was during our arrival at Incheon. We arrived at around 6:46AM in Korea time which is an hour ahead of Philippine time. We were part of a backpacking group so we didn't hire any airport service to drop us off at our hotel. We commuted via bus and walked to out hotel from it's nearest bus stop. Incheon International Airport is one of the most beautiul airports I've been to (This includes Narita International Airport, Japan). I'm feeling so sorry for The Philippines' International Airports.. could've had so much potential but... alas. I hope we improve our airports soon!

From Seoul (and other places in South Korea) and back

Hello! Hello! I'm back! I recently went on a trip outside the country. I've only gotten back a few days ago and have been tired and all over the place since then.so I only get to blog now.

Yes, I went to Korea for a couple of days. I LOVE IT THERE AND I HAVE TO GO BACK ASAP!!! It's also a good thing that I know a little Korean and can read Hangul! My very little knowledge helped a lot even though it's very little. I was able to ask for directions, read food names and other words, order food by myself and even haggle (and even got free stuff from some store owners who I think got "aliw" by Abi and I)!
We stayed mainly in Seoul but also toured places outside the city.

Korean Series: City Hunter

I haven't been sleeping at my usual sleeping time lately as I have been watching a K-Drama titled: City Hunter. The cast includes: Lee Minho, Park Min Young, Lee Jun Hyuk, Hwang Sun Hee, and KARA's Goo Hara.

I won't put the synopsis here since you can read it at AsianMediaWiki *HERE*. I'm already at episode 13 as of this writing and I can't help but marathon episodes since I'm really curious on what's going to happen next and how it will end WITHOUT spoilers.

I recommend this K-Drama series to those who like political & action packed but at the same time will make you go "yiiie~ <3" or "awww~ <3".

Watson's Mini Sewing Kit

I've been sewing lately! Well, I don't know if I can call it "sewing" since in my opinion, iFail at it. I've been mostly been able to finish my little "projects" *AKA: repairing clothes I wear only at home (aka: pambahay)* with the use of the little sewing stuff I remember/learned from Home Economics, Livelihood Education from when I was in Grade School (I'm a college graduate now, btw.)

At first, I've been using one of those emergency sewing kits hotels provide guests. Finished that off quick though since it's really just really for emergencies. Good thing I saw that Watson's has their own Mini Sewing Kit while I was checking out stuff a couple of days ago! It's very cute too!

I love the design of the kit! Very neat and everything in there can be spotted quicly! The needle case is stuck on the lid so it's easy to carry around.

Bottom part. I took the info sticker off.

Includes:

30 Assorted Needles
1 Measuring Tape
1 Thimble
Basic Buttons (5) and Pins (2)
That thing that makes putting a thread inside the hole of the needle easier
1 Pin Cushion (T-shirt)

This has been very useful to me since I was able to repair a lot of my clothes since I got it. I'm glad that it comes with threads with colors I also need and not just the very basic black and white! I did wish that it came with one of those fancy pin head wheel though. Pin heads come really useful a lot when sewing. Oh well, anyway, price of the sewing kit is only 79php (so cheap!!) at Watson's.
I hope I can improve my sewing so I could move on to customizing some of my old/neglected clothes so they're "new" again.

I used to be addicted to Facebook Games (like Farmville, Cafe World, Hotel City, etc) before. Now, I barely log in to Facebook. Though I still like playing those kinds of games, I just don't like logging in to Facebook anymore.. it's becoming burdensome for for for some reason (Probably because of mindless crap/spam from some contacts there? I don't know).

I did find iTouch apps a few weeks ago that are almost similar to the games I used to play in Facebook.

Bakery Story - If you played Cafe World over at Facebook, Bakery Story is very similar to that except this is more on pastries and breads.

Restaurant City - Like Bakery Story, this is very very similar to Cafe World.

Farm Story - Very very similar to the famous Farmville! For now, I've stopped playing this.

Nightclub Story - Here, you get to mix drinks and manage a night club. You also have to tend to the DJ both playing so more will come in to your night club. You can even play your own music in your iTouch. I did stop playing this for now.

Fashion Story - In fashion Story, it's like managing your own boutique. Ordering clothes from a catalogue, designing the boutique, etc. This is the game I'm most active at.

Zoo Story - Here, you get to manage your own virtual zoo! From choosing animals, planting food to feed the animals and managing the food stalls, offices and other facilities. For now, I've also stopped playing this.

I've been playing for a couple of weeks now. They have more games than what I've put up up there but so far, I've only tried these. For now, I've decided to stick with 3 of them.

I like it this way more because I don't have to log in to Facebook just to play. Also,Since no personal info is needed for a Storm8 id, it's not as private as Facebook which only limits "neighbors" to your contacts/Friends. I play using my iTouch so it's more convenient for me to play. All I need is WiFi and it's good to be played. They're all free at iTunes. These games are also available for iPad.

Hello Everyone! If you'll notice, there's a new something on my sidebar. Yes, the Chunky Bling banner! :)

A couple of days ago, Mr. Doug of Chunky Bling contacted me via email. He asked me if I wanted to join as a blog affiliate. I didn't get to reply immediately because I was crazy busy at that time but was able to take small glimpses of the affiliate program and their products.

Can I just say that I am an accessories girl (though it may not seem like it, but I really am). I like metal-like, textile, beaded, etc. accessories. I even also shared time d-i-y-ing accessories when I was in my grade school days! Bohol, Philippines - Whites and Greens Beach Resort Beach Shots

Friends. They're already supposedly at the very deep part but since it was low tide, it only reached up to their thighs!

In my opinion, Whites and Greens Resorts' beach front is the best one compared to its neighboring resorts. Other resorts' beach front was rocky whereas Whites and Greens weren't. You can find a lot of shells though as seen in one of my photos above. It is rocky in some areas when you go into the water though.. but only for a while.. it's not anymore when you get a little far from the shoreline. I also like the sand of the resort. It's fine but not to the point that it's hard to walk on to... in fact, you won't sink when walking on the sand of the resort but you will start to sink when you get to the other resorts' property.. :)

During our little adventure in Bohol, we stayed at The Whites and Greens Beach Resort. The resort is located at Libaong, Panglao, Bohol.

There are 2 types of rooms. One is the cottages where there are 2 rooms (2 beds each room); 1 bathroom with a living room and a dining table. It also has it's own porch. The other type is just a room where there are 2 beds and 1 bathroom.

In my experience, I didn't get to stay at the cottage but at the room type only. The room was big enough for 3 people. It's livable but then again, we only almost used the room for sleeping and taking a bath. There's a broom available outside the door if you want to clean up your sand trails when you go back to the room from the beach and there's also a clothesline available outside the room for drying of clothes purposes. Room is air-conditioned, of course.

Overall, it was pretty okay. I love the landscape of the resort. There's even another resort, Aros (swimming pool, spa and bar available) beside it where you can also avail of services/products even when you're not staying with them (Aros).

If you've noticed, I don't have a picture of the bathroom. Well, I have a reason for that. Ok, the reason is that I do not want to remember the bathroom, seriously. It was a nightmare! ... but it can do. However, the bathroom was really small. It doesn't have hot water available and the water is very different (it's not chlorinated and has a taste) So it's not really ideal to use to brush ones teeth or for washing ones face. Although, We had the chance to talk to the owner of the resort while we were having our complimentary breakfast one morning, he said that the water [in the bathroom] was "pure" meaning it cam straight from the well and haven't been transported and has absolutely no chemicals in it. ... but still the taste of the water was yucky. I had to use drinking water to brush my teeth and wash my face while I was there.

Not a lot of pictures since it's really hard to hold on something else when crossing the bridge other than the railings.

There are 2 bridges, one to go to the other side where there are shops where you can buy souvenirs and food for a very cheaper price as compared to other tourist shops.. but there's a catch!..You just have to go through the hanging bridge to get cheaper stuff! *Hahaha!* and muddy. One has to be really careful and watch their steps. The bridge also sways/moves easily. It's very hard to cross unless you're there everyday so you're probably a pro on crossing the hanging bridge by now. =P

Hello World!

Last night was rainy, cold and I was also sad for some personal reason and I couldn't sleep. I wanted to do something that involved color to lift up my mood so I took out my left over sketchpad and old art materials and started doodling away.

This is what I "created":

I honestly don't know how it turned out like this or what it is exactly. I just doodled, took out colored pencils that I liked at that time and.. yeah, that was pretty much all I did. I didn't really plan or think this through. It's not awesome but I was not aiming for that for this anyway. I know it's not that good and mistakes can be obviously seen but whatever.. I think it adds "character" to the work anyway. I just want to share this with you. :)

I forgot to share these. It's actually part of my trip to Bangkok stuff. Found some Pocky flavors in Thailand that aren't available here in the Philippines. .. and Pocky is cheaper in Thailand too! My friend/roomate and I got addicted to Pocky (all because of me because I already like Pocky even before we went to Thailand *hee-hee*). Anyway, There are only a limited number of Pocky flavors available here and it's even available everywhere and the Chocolate one is the most dominant over other flavors that are here.

Wish these flavors are also available here in the Philippines! My friend and I are tempted to go back to Thailand just to hoard Pocky! *LOL*

When I went to New York last year, it was really really cold and being from a tropical country where it's "summer all year round" as they say did not help. My lips experienced chapping from the cold and even wind burns! (wind burns was actually good and bad in my case. good because it gave me plumpy lips that looked like I had lipstain on *LOL* and bad because it hurts!)

Carmex saved me from the pain in the next days after I bought one from some drugstore. Also, I'm a sucker for strawberry. :P

Love that it has SPF15 perfect for travelling! Although, I do wish that getting the product out is more easier though! Sometimes a lot goes out since it's in gloss for but a little liquid-y. It's hard to control and gloss is wasted. oh well. It's a Life Saver though!

K-Drama: All My Love

If you're a fan of 2AM, Brown Eyed Girls/ GaIn and B2ST, you'll probably like All My Love. I started watching this when I finished watching Jo Kwon and GaIn's run on We Got Married. (I cried when they parted ways because that's how I am *LOL* It's just so sad that they had to end their virtual marriage because of busy schedules... as they say). We Got Married MCs are also part of the series' cast (Park Mi Sun and Kim Nayoung) However, if you are a fan of the K-Pop idols I've mentioned who are also a part of the series' cast, you might now like the fact that Jo Kwon and GaIn play twins here. From being a "virtual couple" to being twins.. very far flung.

Synopsis:

The story of the relationship between two families, based on the traditional Korean Cinderella folktale about Kongji (in this case: Park/Hwang family) and Patji (in this case: Kim family). The Kongji family is poor but kind, while the Patji family is rich but selfish.

Main Cast includes:
Kim Gab Soo, Park Mi Sun, Jo Kwon, Ga In, Yoon Doo Joon ,Jun Tae Soo, Yoon Seung Ah and others.

They didn't get much creative with the characters' name as most of the names are the actors' real names.

The series is still currently on going but I get subbed episodes from SNJsubs

Etude House: Collagen Moistful - Cream & first Essence

I also got this trial kit for free along with the Miss Tangerine Candle when I went to Etude House when an SM Mall was on sale. The Lady told me that they only give this away for free only when it's sale season. I haven't tried this yet but I swatched the Collagen Moistful BB Cream before. I liked the BB Cream and it's definitely something I'd buy to replace my BB Magic Cream when it runs out. I'd also want to try other products from The Collagen Moistful line.

So, the kit came with 2 trial packs:

a small bottle of essence and a tube of cream

I haven't used this yet because I'd like to wait when I finish my BB Magic Cream and get the Collagen Moistful BB Cream and some other products that are essential for me in this line. (yeah, I'm OC like that! *LOL*)

Etude House: I'm Fine Eyeliner

I bought this because I was looking for a black pen like fine eyeliner. Since I was already at Etude House then, I just decided to get it then and there (plus I'm obsessed with the store! *LOL*) It's packaging has a mirror like effect (It's really pretty). It's thin too.

My camera had a hard time focusing on the tip/brush/applicator since it's really thin. I hope you can atleast see somehow how thin/fine the tip of this eyeliner is.

This is has a very fine tip. Great for tight lining. The product is hard to get out. Have to tap downwards a little for product to go to the brush.

The price is at 498php. It's relatively expensive but I like really the pen like design and the fine tip/applicator of the product. It's also easier for me to use than their Oh~ m'eye line eyeliner.

But then again, if you're going to ask me if I'm willing to re-purchase this again.. well, I hope Etude House comes out with a product similar to this but with the price of their Oh~ m'eye line eyeliner.

I got this candle for free when I bought the 3 Miss Tangerine Cream Choux Blushers *see my reviews about the blushers *HERE* *HERE* and *HERE*. Obvioiusly I haven't used it yet.. Still finding a nice time to use this. :) It's really small like the normal sized candles you see... not tea light small though.

This is a very light soft pink. Color payoff is amazing! It's really pink! So pretty! Like the other Cream Choux blushers, the formula of this is creamy soft and feels really nice on the skin.

Health Kick with Weat Grass

hAround a month ago, I started getting a health kick with Wheat Grass. I really don't know what happened. I just woke up one day and decided to take wheat grass and got really into it. At first it took some getting used to the taste, smell and ..color and eventually, I got used to it and my days aren't complete without drinking 2 or 3 mugs of it.

I researched the benefits of Wheat Grass and here's what I found:

Love that the bottle has a little stopper on it so the product won't spill off easily. The brush is soft and nice on the lips.

I'm a little disappointed by the color pay off. I thought it would give more color on the lips like the swatch on my wrist but then again, my lips aren't pale but a little pinkish-red so wearing it plain won't really give me much Peach color like the swatch. Also, it's a little drying when it's been on for like a couple of minutes. I like the scent though.

I like using this over Etude House' Magic Tint Balm. I feel like the Peach atleast a little bit noticeable when paired with the Magic Tint Balm (see the upper lip) plus it makes my lips more glossier. :)

I prefer applying this using Etude House's Lip Brush. To me, it looks like the color is more applied (more on the lips) when using the brush than just using my finger. Look how much glossier it looks like?

Etude House says: "Tinted translucent lip balm supplies vitamin E additives to promote and preserve healthy lips."

Mia says: Smoothens chapped lips and applies lip products more smoothly. The color pay off is okay but not very vibrant as it is on the pot itself.

Etude House: My Etude House Brushes (So Far)

I've recently been really into make up and stuff so I recently purchased a couple of brushes from Etude House.

Currently, I only have 3 but I'm working on getting the other brushes available too.

The Blush Contour Brush:

For me, this is very workable. Perfect size for my cheeks. :D

Everything is in Korean except the name of the brush (Thank God!)

It's brush bristles are really soft but not the the point that it won't be able to pick up any product. It's also already shaped so one doesn't have to really work on getting the blush on places you want it to be on. This also comes with it's own brush guard.

The Lip Brush:

I really like using this with my potted lip gloss/balms. It doesn't come with it's own brish guard but it's handle extension doubles as a cover.

The Oblique Line Brush:

Bought this because I wanted to use some eyeshadows as liners since they're more softer than most actual liners I find. I haven't really actually used this yet but I have plans for it. :)

It's brush is slanted and thin but just enough to use as an eyeliner brush.

I love Etude House brushes. So easy to work with and I love that it individually comes in their own plastic with the name of the brush on it so it's not confusing for beginners. I also love the bristles on their brushes. Very soft and workable. <3

Etude House: Lip & Eye Remover

I got this for free when I bought the BB Magic Cream. I've been using this to erase stubborn eyeliner (especially when I use Etude House's Oh~ M'Eye Line Eyeliner) , lipsticks and stains, shadows, etc. for a while now. Also, I find that this is less oily on my skin than other make up removers I've used before (Plus points!!). I'm definitely going to buy a full version of this when I run out.

K-Drama: Dream High

Currently watching the Korean Drama titled "Dream High". Surprised that a DVD (deebeedee deebeedee) is already out since it just finished airing a couple of months ago.

In the cast are K-POP idols: Taecyeon of 2PM (Jin Gook / Hyun Shi Hyuk), Wooyoung of 2PM (Jason), Suzy of Miss A (Go Hye Mi), Eun Jeong of T-ARA (Yoon Baek Hee) and IU (Kim Pil Sook) and Kim Soo Hyun (Song Sam Dong).

Synopsis (from DramaWiki):

Dream High tells the story of six students at Kirin Art High School who work to achieve their dreams of becoming music stars in the Korean music industry. Go Hye Mi is a student who had majored in classical music but has to give up her dream by entering Kirin Art High School to pay off her father's debt. However, she needs to get two other students to also come to the school in order for her to enroll in the school conditionally. These two students are Song Sam Dong, who lives in the countryside, and Jin Guk, whom she accidentally meets while trying to escape from a loan shark. Yoon Baek Hee, formerly Hyemi's sidekick, becomes her rival in school because Hye Mi betrays her during an audition to enter the school.

So far, it's really interesting and not dragging. Can't wait to watch the next episodes and know what happens next! :D

Etude House: Missing U lip balm (Fairy Penguin) Green Apple

This lip balm has got to be the most cutest, delicious smelling and smoothest lip balm I've encountered so far.

Yes! That's the Fairy Penguin Missing U Lip Balm! I use this daily and even before I go to sleep! It doesn't leave a yucky oily taste when I wake up and I also put this on every time I feel like putting some on (I've already made a huge dent on it, as you can see). Unlike other potted lip balms I've tried before, this kind of melts when you touch it and you don't have to keep rubbing your finger on the product to get the product on your finger enough for your lips. It smells really really yummy too! I can't get enough of it's green apple smell!

One day I was looking for a nice, affordable black eyeliner to try, a friend recommended Etude House's Oh~ M'eye Line Liquid Liner. It's only 198php so it's relatively cheap (as compared to what I've been using before)

The color payoff is really good. It's very black. Just one swipe and you're good.

Long wand holder

Although, I am more of a fan of thin tight lining and I find that the wand is hard to control for me and often draws thicker lines than I intend to thus, making me look like a raccoon (The tip/brush isn't very fine). I also find that this smudges easily when I apply it on my upper lash line (I have hooded eyelids). I guess I have to practice more using this. I love that it doesn't fade easily even when you ~~accidentally~~ rub your eyes.

Overall, I do recommend this product. It'll just takes practice for some (Like me!).

Lay Bare Experience (again)

I went to Lay Bare (again) around 2 days ago but went to a different branch this time. I was at the Greenhills area so I went to their Greenhills branch. Coincidentally, I went to their opening day and was having a 24% discount off off their services.

During my visit to Lay Bare then, I availed their Full Leg (500php), Underarm Wax (150php) (for the first time ever!) and Eyebrow threading (100php). I honestly thought that the waxing will be painful. I even psyched myself out before I went to the salon -- I was wrong.. very wrong. The leg waxing took the longest because it was a full leg and I used to shave my lower half leg. It wasn't painful at all.. none at all. I even felt like sleeping! *LOL*

Overall, I would've paid 750php for all of the service but for that day, I paid less for it because of their branch opening promo. :) It's already really cheap and they still have a promo!

Etude House: BB Magic Cream (Refreshing)

The first BB Cream I stuck by. I was told that this is Etude House's mos popular BB Cream. Personally, I'm liking this BB Cream. I find that this blends well and easily with my skin tone (I'm kind of fair-yellow-ish with little dark undertones.. but I'm usually light skinned looking --- I hope many can get what I mean and can relate! LOL).

I don't really have a problem with acne or pimples but I do find this to smoothen and even out my complexion well.

The only downside I find with this product is that the pump area gets dirty easily. I do like that it has a pump though! :)

My stripey old room

I went back to our old house yesterday for the last time ever.

I took one last photo of my then room. I did live in that room for 2 years. Yes, my room is pink and stripey all over. It doesn't look like the stripey walls go with the window but it's really cute in person. Thinking of doing the same in my current/future room but only 1 wall will be stripey and the most will be pink then the door will be a nice blue door (Feng Shui said that it's good for me to have something blue in my room) that will go with the shade of pink I'll pick (unsure yet).. hmmmm.... I do still love the pink stripey wall idea though, even up to now! ;)

Honestly, I don't think the chamber maids thoroughly cleans the place. My friend/roommate found a strand of hair on her bed that is not hers and our tour guide (who is also Filipino) came into our room (I know, weird, right?) and commented that the bed covers doesn't look like it's been really washed. I didn't really notice about the bed covers though.. However, it's still very livable and still very safe so if you're not sensitive about these things, very recommendable.

The Bathroom:

Bathroom is clean and water pressure is good.

My friend/roommate and I paid only $50 each for the room. We stayed there for 4 days. Not Bad!! :)
Booked the hotel through Agoda.

My Ultimate Summer Must Haves: Sunblock!

The heat here in the Philippines is so extreme! I feel my skin burning and I'm just sitting here in my room *Writing this in Manila* (Imagine what more if I go out in direct sunlight?) It's really really really hot here that there are times when my air conditioner and electric fan gives up on me because of the heat (No Joke!)

That's why I always make it a point to apply sunblock. Okay, I'll be honest. I don't apply sunblock religiously as I always forget or don't feel like it because it's already very hot and I don't want to apply sticky stinky stuff that will make more uncomfortable. But, I'm honestly working on it! I know applying sunblock religiously will pay off in the long run (Don't you agree as well?) so I'll just have to endure and get used to sunblock.

For my body sun protection needs, I always to Nivea's Sun Maximum Protection Sun Lotion with SPF 50 PA++. I think I've been buying this for 3 summers already. It's a non sticky and water resistant formula and specially formulated for Asian Skin.

For the face, I use Nivea's Sun Face Sun Block Moisturizing Cream with SPF 50 PA++. I feel that this is the perfect Sunblock for my face for summer since this has moisturizing effects for my dry skin. It's a non sticky formula but it also feels a little heavy for a while when applying. *I also love Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry touch Sunblock but I don't want to repurchase it for now because it's expensive.*

Of course, I won't forget about my hair! I use Beach Hut's Hair & Scalp Clear Spray Sunblock. It has SPF 20 and it's alcohol free too so plus points!!! :D It looks yellow in the bottle but it goes on clear when you spray it on your hair and scalp. The only downside I find in this product is that my hair feels dry and heavy at the end of the day. Price is less than 600php at Watson's

Mentholatum: Lip Ice Sheer Color

When I went to Bangkok, Thailand last month, I was without lip balm or any lip products. My lips chapped then (I think due to the so many activities I did and the different level of heat there compared to the Philippines and being out and about under the sun for many hours in the day.). So, I ended up buying Lip Ice from the 7-11 nearest our hotel.

I was not too familiar about Lip Ice then but I've heard about it. It did it's job soothing my chapped lips but I was surprised about the color it gave my lips when I applied it first (Surprised because my friend/ room mate suddenly commented that the color is really nice. Confused, I looked at my reflection and realized she's right. I did know it will give some color but not like what it gave me). I also thought it would give my lips some cooling sensation (because of it's name "Lip Ice") but it didn't. This would have been the perfect lip product for me for that trip if only it did give my lips some cooling sensation (because it was very hot!) but other than that minor set back, I'm liking this product as it gives my lips subtle (and surprising then for me) color and smoothens the chaps.

Orange is a summer staple color for this year. It's funny for me, because orange is my least favorite color ever since childhood. I've always always always preferred pinks. ALWAYS., Orange is really growing on me.

For this week's nails, I used The Face Shop's BL603 and OR202. I put alternately put each color on my nails until colors look even. The Blue (BL603) has a little shimmer in it but also creamy while the Orange (OR202) is opalescent-ish. Hope it works.

If you're a KPOP fan, you'll be thrilled to know that JYP Entertainment's Ballad Group, 2AM will be coming to Manila this month.

Personally, I've been a fan of 2AM (I'm listening to Seulong and IU's "Nagging" as I'm typing this right now, actually *LOL*) since I started watching the Korean Variety Show, We Got Married which starred 2AM's very own leader, Jo Kwon with his "cyber wife" Brown Eyed Girls' GaIn (other 2AM member made appearances in the show too especially Seulong) I love their humor (kkap parody moments!!) and solid voices <3

I'm dying to go but sadly, I don't have anyone to go with and I'll be terribly busy on those
dates. :( (of course, unless friends or someone invites me to come with.. ;) )

March 2011 - Pattaya, Thailand - Pattaya Floating Market: Food

This post will focus on some of the food at the Pattaya Floating Market. I don't know the names of the food they sell though. This is definitely a place I would recommend to those who are very adventurous about food!

They made use of boats as their stalls to make use of the water space. There are so many people there as well as stores so there aren't a lot of space to walk around freely at.

This is really delicious! It's made out of coconut.

Speaking of Coconuts in Thailand, what I love most about their food is their coconut desserts! Even though the Philippines is already abundant in Coconuts, Coconut desserts are Thailand are tastier! I love their coconut ice cream!

Before heading back to Bangkok, we stopped by the floating market to buy stuff and pasalubongs (gifts) for families and friends back here in Manila.

Yes, the water looks so dirty but there are fishes living in there. You can buy feeds for the fish for 10baht.

There's also this area where you can feed goats.

It was so hot there! Lots of walking and stuff to see as well as cheap stuff and food to buy There were many people as well so I felt extra hot. The market is such a big place it's easy to get lost (We actuall did get lost! *LOL* We couldn't find the entrance we entered at).

On my next post, I will feature the different kinds of food the I saw there.

On our 2nd day of touring, we went to Nongnooch Garden over at Pattaya.

1st up on our agenda was to watch a cultural show. It showcased Thailand's popular cultures such as
Muay Thai, religious ceremonies, their own version of the Filipino Dance "tinikling" and other things as well.

The outerior of the actual temple is under construction which baffles me since I was here with family for the first time last 2005 and it was already under construction since then. I believe the temple and the buddah it self is still amazing despite the construction outside.

After The Grand Palace, we went to Wat Pho, The Temple of the Reclining Buddha next.

Entrance Fee was 50baht.

Two of Three cats just lounging around the reception area where you pay for the entrance fee. They're completely harmless! <3

The Reclining Buddah is said to be Thailand's largest buddah/statue.

After all the Jewelry/Gem shops/factories stop overs, as part of the city tour, our tour guide-slash-tuktuk driver for the day took us to the Grand Palace. It was really hot and humid but it also rained a little for a while when we were about to exit the Grand Palace Area.

Payed around 200 or 350 baht (I couldn't remember) for the entrance fee.

Lay Bare - Eyebrow Threading

I just got back from Lay Bare (Mall Of Asia Branch). I got my Eyebrows threaded there for very first time ever! I must say at only 100php (for females), they've done a perfect job! --- and all under 20 minutes!

I usually get my eyebrows threaded at Spa-lons, I usually get hurt by it because my skin gets accidentally pinched as well by attendants who do my eyebrows -- and they take more than 30 minutes to finish! However, at Lay Bare, the threading didn't really hurt and the attendants are all very nice and the place is very soothing! I was nervous on the way there (since it's my first time trying lay bare and all) but once I stepped in all of my nervousness was gone! :) Love It!

I was also supposed to get an Underarm (UA) and Lower Leg Wax but I was told that at this time it can't be done (since I shaved last week) because the hair isn't long enough for the wax to stick. I'll just have to go back in a week or two for it.

Definitely recommend lay bare to all of you who wants to get unwanted hair off! :)

Feb 19, 2011 - Taylor Swift Live In Manila

Last night, Saturday, February 18, 2011 was spent with my sister at the Taylor Swift Live in Manila Concert at the Araneta Coliseum. The whole event was crazy! The lines are crazy, the crowd was crazy and the traffic around Araneta was crazy! I was literally shaking because of excitement and I think my voice is an octave or two higher than it already is. We were seated at the Upper Box A part. It was far from the stage but acceptable already. I tried taking atleast acceptable if not nice pictures and at the same time concentrate on the concert. oh, Happiness. <3

AMAZING Night at an AMAZING event with an AMAZING girl --- Taylor Swift, I mean. =P

I hope she goes back soon. :) Will definitely get much better seats next time!

(Currently reading: Hunger Games) It may not be the latest thing or probably the best out there (not all parts are colored) but it serves it's purpose and not that expensive as compared to other brands.

I've been into KPop Culture nowadays. (I know I'm super late!) I have Korean dramedies (drama/comedy) series, fashion and SNSD *LOL* and other catchy Korean music and of course, their, influenced skin care tips to thank.

Just for fun (No pressure), I've decided to [self] learn how to write in Korean (Hangul). I already know how to write (only write! I still have to work on grammar and more vocabs) in Japanese (Katakana & Hiragana) and I find the some Hangul Characters are similar to Japanese. I guess, I'll have more free time for this since I won't be enrolling in French classes for this term/session/season (however you want to call it) because of unavailable class schedule [for my level].

My parents also encouraged me to learn the language since there are A LOT of Koreans here in the Philippines already! (plus, my mom wants to go to S.Korea in the future also *LOL* )

Korean Series: He's Beautiful/ You're Beautiful

I've been watching this Korean TV show during my spare times. Since I've already finished watching the We Got Married cuts of the "Goguma Couple" (Yonghwa and Seohyun) that already aired.

This series has recently been tagalized and is being or was aired at a local channel. I got interested in watching this after seeing it's trailer (however, in tagalog) so I bought the deebeedee copy of it so I could watch it in Korean with English Subtitles. *LOL* I only got to buy the deebeedee just recently even though I saw it's trailer some time ago.

So, the series is about a boy band "A.N. JELL" and a practioner nun, Go Mi Nyu who has a twin brother who passed auditions to join the band (A.N. JELL). But due to botched surgery, her twin brother was forced to get corrective treatment in the States. Her brother's manager found her and convinced her to pose as her twin brother so his (twin brother) career won't be in jeopardy due to his absence. Go Mi Nyu was against it at first but agrees in order to protect her brother's dream and to find their mother who left them when they were still young.

This series stars: Jang Geun Suk as Hwang Tae Kyung, Park Shin Hye as Go Mi Nam (Male) / Go Mi Nyu (Female), Lee Hongki as Kang On Yu / Jeremy and Jung Yong Hwa as Kang Shin Woo. (I really didn't know Yong hwa was in this show) *coincidence!* and UEE (from Girl group After School and former We Got Married Cast/Wife) as Yoo He Yi.

This series has also won awards in 2009 and has 16 episodes all in all.
